Is there parking available?
Each apartment is allocated one car spot in our underground car park - limited to 1 vehicle. Max. Height Clearance 2m.
Can guests bring two cars?
We provide one car spot per apartment for guests. If you require additional parking there is paid parking at Soul Boardwalk Address: 4-8 The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise QLD (approximately 50 meters south of Grosvenor). You can check out the rates and make a booking on line @ https://nationwideparking.com.au/online-parking/. Max. Height Clearance 2.2m
Do guests have to pay a security deposit upon check-in?
Management requires a Security Pre-Authorisation payment of $250.00 upon check-in. This payment will be held for the duration of your stay and cleared back into your bank account following check-out.
What time is Check In?
Our check-in time is from 2.00pm - we are pleased to allow early check-in provided your room is ready.
If it is still being serviced after the previous guests stay - you are welcome to park your car, leave your luggage and we can call you once your room is available. You can also have full access to the BBQ and pool area until your room is ready.
What time is Check Out?
Check out time is 10:00 am.
Can we bring our pets?
Pets are not permitted for short-term stays
What happens if I arrive outside of reception hours?
If guests plan to arrive outside of our reception hours, please advise our staff prior to arrival so we can send you the After-Hours Instructions on how to collect your keys.
Do you provide free tennis rackets?
Yes, we have tennis rackets and balls for free hire from reception
Is smoking permitted onsite?
Smoking is prohibited inside all apartments (including balconies) and common areas. If odours are detected inside the apartments upon check out, a minimum charge of $500 will apply for odours deodorisation. A designated Smoking area has been provided at the end of the tennis courts.
When was the Grosvenor built?
The Grosvenor Beachfront Apartments were built in the mid 1970's, with architectural plans dated for 1975.
Where does the word Grosvenor come from?
Grosvenor comes from a surname derived from Hugh Le Grand Veneur, a member of a Norman French family that aided William the Conqueror in 1066. "Le Grand Veneur" literately means "the Master Huntsman" in French, an elevated title in William's 11th Century French Court. Hugh was called Hugh Lupus. Lupus was portly, and his townsmen gradually changed the appellation from "Le Grand Veneur" (Master Huntsman) to "Le Gros Veneur" (Fat Huntsman) an epithet Hugh wore with pride. Today Grosvenor is the surname of Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster. The line goes on.
